ATI Engineering to provide two Textron C-208EX aircraft to Rwandan Air Force

ATI Engineering Services LLC, has been awarded a contract to deliver two Textron C-208EX aircraft to the Rwandan Air Force, according to a US Department of Defense communiqué released on June 24. The business is reportedly worth $10,101,563.

Under the contract, ATI Engineering will also provide spare parts, flight training, technical drawings, logistics support, and ground support equipment as well as the necessary modifications for the Rwandan Air Force.

The C-208WX is a heavily modified version of the all-metal, high-wing Cessna 208 Caravan which took flight in 1984. It is powered by an 870 hp PT6A-140 engine. The PT6A-140 engine delivers a 38% on the legacy aircraft rate of climb.

The aircraft typically seats nine passengers with a single pilot, although up to fourteen passengers can be carried. It is also used for cargo operations, as well as police, air ambulance, passenger transport, air charter, freight and parachuting operations.
