Russia to deliver BK-10 high-speed assault boats to an African client

Russia has recently concluded a contract to deliver BK-10 high-speed assault boats to a Sub-Saharan country according to an informed source. The BK-10 assault boat was designed in Rybinsk shipyard.

High-speed assault combat boat BК-10 high-speed assault boat is designed for operations in the coastal zone, military personnel transportation, assault landing on unimproved shore, fire support of landing troops, anti-piracy and anti-terrorist operations, medical evacuation, rendering help to people in distress etc.

The assault boat is equipped with the special trailer for transportation by road and air. It can carry up to 10 people in its landing compartment. The windshield is armored. BK-10 has the armament of up to two 4 7.62 mm, 12.7 mm machine guns or 1 40 mm caliber grenade launcher.

It also has an overall length of 10.48 m, height of 3.7 m and draft of o.6 m, with a maximum speed of 40 knots, two crew and can carry 10 heavily equipped passengers.
