Nigerian drone startup Arone signs MOU with military for aerospace R&D
Arone, an Enugu based startup founded by Emmanuel Ezenwere has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nigeria’s ministry of defense in partnership with the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force to build state-of-the-art unmanned aerial vehicles and aerospace systems.
Arone specializes in providing affordable and easy to use drone technologies, while using a smart aerial logistics technology empowered with AI & renewable sources of energy.
Part of Arone’s business involves providing sophisticated drone solutions to the health, medical and delivery sectors.
In April 2019, Arone was selected as a finalist for the Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge. Also, last year, Arone was part of the 6 startups who applied and qualified for NITDA sponsorship to GITEX 2018 and eNigeria 2018.
Arone’s HeavyLift I drone can accommodate a payload capacity of 20kg with a delivery range of 50km while featuring autonomous flight capability.
